Cataclysm spells

Hello ratslayers,

Im gonna let you know what new spells for each class i thought of for cataclysm :P . As blizz said they will not expand the talent tree any further but they will give each class new spells and abilities.

So here it goes :

Warrior

1. Battle Cry : the warrior shouts the battle cry increasing attack power and armor penetration of himself and nearby allies by 40 for 20 seconds (5 min CD)

2. Fortress : The warrior enlarges blocking 70% of the enemy ranged and melee attacks for 15 sec but reduces your movement speed by 50% and does 20% less damage (2 min CD - requires shield)

Mage

1. Arcane Storm (Aoe spell) : The mage creates an arcane storm that deals 900-1100 dmg every 2 sec for 30 sec (1.30 sec CD)

2. Phoenix : The mage calls down a burning phoenix that attacks nearby enemies with fire dealing 3300 dmg with every breath (this effect cannot happen more than once every 30 sec) (5 min CD on Phoenix)

3. Icespike: the mage creates an icespike from the ground beneath the enemy throwing him in the air and stunning him on landing for 2 sec, damaging the enemy for 880 dmg (5 min cd)

Death Knight

1. Bloodthirst - everytime the death knight lands a crit hit he drains the blood from the victim wounds healing for 5% of the victim's total hp and increasing haste by 20 (1 min cd)

2. Lich King's legacy - Corrupts a target for 5 minutes becoming your ally and doing your biding (10 seconds for players) (cc spell)(5 min cd)

3. Runestrike - still thinking about it :P

AND NOW MY FAVORITE CLASS - SHAMAN

1. Earth Quake - the shaman calls down the power of earth creating a powerful earth quake that rips the ground dazing every enemy in the area of effect for 10 seconds and damaging the enemies for 500-600 dmg (2 min CD)

2. Air Elemental - the shaman summons an air elemental which casts cones of cold every 3 seconds and a periodically cyclone (simmilar to the druid cylcone) that lasts  2 seconds and is cast every 1 minute (4 min cd)

3. Elemental bolt -  the shaman casts an elemental bolt of frost, fire and nature damage dealing 1500-3000 dmg and has a 50% chance to reduce the target's resistance to nature, fire, frost schools (1 school per every elemental bolt) (global cd)

4. Totem of elemental plains - a totem that has a chance to increase the shamans damage on the target on one of the schools of magic ( fire , frost, nature)  by 10% ( 1.30 min cd)

Think your ideas sound kewl, could be nice with a rogue spell to called "Daggerstorm" or something like that.

 

Daggerstorm: The rogue unleashes every power-source he has, hurling his daggers forward and causing 1265-2371 damage to your target. Can also be glyphed to hit an additional 1-2 enemies.

WTB more replies for these spells

Daggerstorm - The rogue unleashes every power-source he has, hurling his daggers forward and causing 1265-2371 damage to your target until 5 attacks are made. The attacks cannot be dodged but the rogue consumes all his energy.

(5 min cd)

awesome idea thought it was some comming ideas of Blizzards.
I like the mage one, the Pheonix.
Cool idea and very thematic of firemage. I am not so fond of the ice one that stuns the target imo mages have far to many snares roots and such. They have slow or snare on every cast as it is making it pretty boring as melee.

Also some  nice Shaman spells, but hard to balance I think. The air elemental one is propably my favorite of your shaman ideas. Nice touch with the cyclone thing.

Also to correct the DK's Bloodthirst (global cooldown)

NEW SPELLS !

Warlock

Summon Shivarra: The warlock calls forth a shivvara demon from the twisting nether . Very powerfull demon with melee attacks   (this demon takes 40% of the warlock's hp and his critical strike is reduced by 10% when the demon is summoned)(5 min cd)

Fel Wrath: The warlock is empowered by the twisting nether itself incresing his damage and haste by 30% for 50 sec. Unable to summon demons while under the effect of the spell  (8 min cd)

Paladin:

Blinding Light: The paladin casts a powerfull spell that blinds (similar to the rogue's blind) all targets for 3 seconds (any damage caused will revive the enemies)(2 mins cd)

Divine Shield - revamped- this spell now lasts 6 seconds and the paladin is unable to attack any target. (muahahhahahah)

Death Knight

Winds of Icecrown - the death knight launches an unholy bolt of frost that hits the target dealing 1600 - 1800 dmg and adds another stack of frost fever on the target. Stacks up to 5 times. When all the five stacks are applied, the death knight will always crit using frost spells for the duration of frost fever  (costs 2 frost runes) (global cd)
